Mary Deguara

Biography

Hello, my name is Mary and I am studying Landscape Architecture at Birmingham City University. I have a keen interest in social and economic sustainability and am excited to be a part of shaping urban and rural settlements to the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s societies.

Working at ADP Architecture for over a year has taught me how I can apply my knowledge and experience to live projects, one of which has recently been short-listed for the BAA Champions of Brum Awards.

The final project that I am showcasing for this event aims to create an integrated community space to promote the cohesion of communities that are currently physically and socio-economically divided. It also aims to create a safe environment, help to narrow the wealth gap and create a sense of place which have been targeted through strategic project objectives.
