Since studying interior architecture I have learnt and developed a variety of skills and look forward to developing these further in my future career. As a designer I enjoy both the technical and creative aspect of design from drawing up plans to creating 3D visuals. Key focuses within most of my designs include positive user experiences and sustainability.
Final Major Project: Live & Work-
Covid has changed the way people go about their daily lives from the way they both work and live. Due to the impact of this pandemic it has become more common in the built environment to change how we utilise existing buildings to suit a more diverse lifestyle to create a happy, healthy and flexible environment. This project shows all of these qualities, taking the negatives and converting these into positives. Examples of this would be a lack of access to green space, negative impact on both physical and mental wellbeing, and a variety of different types of spaces to work in both living and working areas.
To create a space that promotes wellbeing, I have used the principles of biophilic design both direct and indirect. Other key focuses of my design includes natural light and use of sustainable materials.
