Hello! I’m Amal, a multi-disciplinary interior designer who thrives on pushing the boundaries of traditional design to create visually appealing and purposeful spaces that have a meaningful impact on their users. I believe that a space should have its own character and resonate with those who use it. My design process is meticulous, combining extensive research, analysis, and experience, to create harmonious and meaningful spaces where every element serves a purpose and contributes to the overall aesthetic.
In my final major project, I have integrated the concepts of Third Space, attention restoration theory, and child learning and play development theory. These theories have influenced every aspect of the design, from the circulation and furniture design to the intended experiences of the users. The project endeavors to establish a welcoming and inclusive environment that surpasses the boundaries of traditional home and workplace settings, serving as a serene sanctuary where individuals can unwind, learn, and rejuvenate. Comprising of four distinct floors, including a café and terrace, a wellness floor, a library and exhibition floor, and a nursery and play space floor, the project addresses contemporary challenges such as mental fatigue, disconnection, and stress by providing a comprehensive solution that promotes well-being.
