Relatively new to Landscape Architecture, I want to integrate designed ecologies to enhance wellbeing and health. I grew up in a village in the Taw valley, playing in woods and swimming in the river. I like growing fruit trees and have been involved in planting woodlands.
My thesis design focuses on soil-based Agroecology in urban greenspace, integrating livestock to regenerate the Chinn Valley woodland, provide fresh produce. Communal outdoor dining spaces evoke intrinsic values to care for the land and each other, to eat naturally-reared meat, a seasonal and legumes-based diet. The inspiration for engagement & participation came from the interlacing of the Worcestershire field structure.
Since starting the MA in Landscape Architecture at Birmingham City University I have learnt so much about the design process and environmental issues. I am learning digital skills: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & In Design. My strengths are in analysis & research with good writing skills. I have seven months’ work experience with an Oxfordshire landscape consultancy.
