Hiya, my name is Doris, and I am a recent graduate in product and furniture design at BCU.
As a designer, my interests lie in the relationships we have with our products. I like to design for interaction, causing my designs to often need their user to function or feel complete. I have a keen interest in ceramics and thoroughly enjoy designing in a playful manner. I want my work to bring joy while being functional and purposeful. An awareness of sustainability and manufacturing underpins all of my work and is something I always consider. I hope to develop these interests further in the big wide world of work.
TILT
TILT is a contemporary, light-hearted dining range designed to encourage its users to focus on their food. The collection challenges you to remove media from the dining table and form new connections through the experience of eating. TILT needs your phone to function, encouraging you to come together and eliminate distractions.
The collection aims to slow us down in this fast-paced world. TILT wants to bring joy back to the dining experience, encouraging us to enjoy our food and company once again.
