My Final Year Project was a food preparation kit design that allows young Chinese users to prepare food easily in a small or shared kitchen environment. Cooking Chinese cuisine is complicated. However, space for homes in Hong Kong is very limited, and usually have very small kitchens. therefore, the food preparation space is limited.
Users need to prepare food on a small tabletop that isn’t suitable to place ingredients or dishes, feeling annoyed and confused with the messy environment. besides, the container is in a different position and needs to move around many times, affecting the efficiency of preparation.
The kit will include compact containers which will save time in finding equipment. The kit is capable of being attached to the cupboards. In its operational mode, the kit can also act as a temporary platform to place ingredients or extra dishes. In the offline mode, the kit is capable of being stored in a kitchen or taken to the room.
