Hi there, my name is Wee Tim Way, an interior designer dedicated to creating innovative spaces for the homeless in Malaysia. My passion for design was sparked by observing the transformative power of spaces in everyday life. I specialize in creating supportive environments for the homeless, transforming underutilized spaces into vibrant, empowering hubs.
“PARALIVING” is a project which focuses on transforming unused urban spaces into welcoming shelters, addressing the pressing issue of homelessness through thoughtful design. I delve deep into understanding the multifaceted challenges faced by the homeless community. Conducting thorough behavioral studies, I aim to design spaces that not only provide shelter but also empower individuals.
The goal is to create environments that offer safety, support, and opportunities for personal growth. By collaborating with NGOs and leveraging sustainable practices, my project aspires to foster a sense of community and resilience among the homeless.
Through this project, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive society, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment.
