Hello, my name is Yufan Xu and I’m majoring in Product and Furniture Design.
‘Tweet’ is a modular nesting box for swifts that brings an aesthetic decoration for the facade of buildings. It is not only a home for swifts in the city, but also a decorative art for buildings.
The aim of ‘Tweet’ is to provide swifts with a natural house in the city. It is inspired by climbing plants and modular furniture, so the shape of ‘Tweet’ looks like leaves and can be combined in any way. The abstract shape replaces the traditional bird nest box to bring more interest to the facade of buildings, and even can be combined with original wall paintings to create a new design.
‘Tweet’ is available in two sizes, and brings a variety of combinations, but each nest is freestanding for swifts. In addition, ‘Tweet’ can be installed in a straightforward way,
and the curved structure can prevent the accumulation of rainwater.
