I was born in Leeds and have a Yorkshire and Cornish identity.
My practice draws upon my experiences and the environments I find myself in. At this time, my work revolves around the body and the self – looking into ways we see, experience, and manifest them. The notion of a body is reflected in our language and in how we attribute it to other things such as objects, work, and making. I try to suggest this by creating installations and books that are made up of many parts that come together to make a whole.
I use drawing, writing, photography, and the domestic printer as my main mediums as they are immediate to produce and readily available. Through manipulating these mediums and reworking imagery a dialogue and direction emerges in relation to my research.
