‘COLOREM’
An environmentally-friendly woven textile design collection for interiors based on a future ‘Colour shift’ trend forecast. It offers playful subtle-coloured coordinates for soft furnishing products to be enjoyed within residential settings. The collection explores colour sublimation printing onto knitted pieces which are unravelled to create unique space-dyed yarns which are then woven into a new fabric. Printing patterns directly onto woven fabrics and Jacquard weaving using natural fibres expands the collection further. Working methods focus on reducing water waste and water contamination by consciously selecting low impact processes and utilising non-toxic coloration methods including sublimation printing and using natural earth pigments. The distinctive approaches to colouration produce calming and sophisticated contemporary soft furnishings that invite us to reconnect with nature.
