Sue Wu has always wanted to explore her passion and appreciation for nature through the creation of everyday contemporary jewellery designs.
From her knowledge of gemstones and minerals, she can set stones by hand in creative ways using precious metals and coloured gemstones. Each piece of jewellery is unique and inspired by nature and relates to the environmental issues around us. She uses handmade jewellery as a medium to communicate the warning message to the audience through wax carving, enamelling, fold forming and chasing techniques.
Sue has been working eco-friendly since 2022. Each piece of jewellery is made from recycled silver and does not contain hazardous materials. It is intended to reduce the environmental impact, while allowing the jewellery to stay close to the skin and remain in place during everyday activities, such as swimming and showering.
