Jiaxi Li’s jewellery creations are imbued with narrative, transcending mere decoration to become vessels of personal storytelling. Her inspiration stems from her memories and insights, with childhood experiences serving as fertile ground for her creativity. She sees jewellery as a bridge to communicate with the world, attempting to articulate her reflections on art, literature, and psychology through her pieces, alongside contemplations on personal experiences.
She believes each material possesses its own language and seeks to create new possibilities with traditional metals such as brass and copper. Proficient in the use of colour, gradient hues give her works the appearance of blurred memories, imbued with dreamlike colours.
Her designs also reflect elements of traditional Chinese craftsmanship, such as embroidery, kingfisher feather art, and shadow puppetry. By blending tradition with innovation and infusing her rich imagination, she creates vibrant and distinctive jewellery pieces.
