Who am I?
My name is Keelan Faunt-Broderick and I have studied jewellery making techniques since 2019, starting at the British Academy of Jewellery in London and then completing four years at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. All my jewellery is 100% designed, assembled, engraved, and set by me.
Hand Engraving
In mid-2022 I began my journey with hand engraving when I first learnt to set stones under a microscope. I started off with rough doodles and quickly fell in love with the art. For my HND final project I simply had to incorporate engraving and that’s where I taught myself the basics, researching all I could find online.
In 2023 I joined the Hand Engravers Association and then visited Westley Richards Gun Engravers with the association. It blew me away seeing master gun engravers work so I had to learn directly from them. I am now tutored by Westley Ricards hand engraver Leo Lambert.
