I’m a recent graduate from Birmingham City University and a multidisciplinary print and woven textile designer. I specialise in creating luxury designs with high regard for craftsmanship. As a future thinker, I am able to creatively combine traditional and contemporary printing methods to design sophisticated and interesting outcomes. My work revolves around storytelling and the use of detailed and characterful motifs, which allows me to create detailed narratives.
As I am predominantly a printmaker and surface pattern designer, I have invested significant effort in developing sustainable methods for producing high-quality fabrics and eco-friendly substitutes for the current interior textiles industry.
During my degree, I had the pleasure of working with Tweedmill Textiles, a UK-based design and manufacturing company. Producing and distributing worldwide, with stockists including The National Trust, John Lewis, Atlantic Blankets and The RNLI. I have the opportunity to design three new picnic blankets for their collection, and a lambs wool throw called ‘Mills Check’. These opportunities I have had during my degree, have allowed me to understand the feasibility and commercial aspects of the design making process.
I have also been successful in achieving awards and recognition in the Bradford Textiles Competition for two consecutive years winning four prizes.
