Freddie graduated from Hong Kong Lee Wai Lee Technical Institute with a Diploma in Design (Interior) in 1989.
In 2021, he has successfully completed the Master of Arts in Design Management and was granted a Merit Classification.
Freddie has dedicated his time and passion to interior design since 1989. He was assigned to Indonesia to lead a design studio in Jakarta in 1991. Since then, Freddie has been working in a senior leadership role and worked in many reputable design firms such as JLW Building Consultancy, Dickson Interior Design Limited and C&A Interior Architects and Consultants Limited. In 1996, Freddie emigrated to the United States and had the opportunity to work in an international architectural design firm, LEO A DALY, until 2002. During these years, Freddie further expanded his portfolio with high profile projects such as The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, DFS Galleria in Beverly Hills and numerous office projects for Merrill Lynch. In 2000, Freddie received the Individual Award for Achievement from LEO A DALY in recognition of his outstanding performance.
During this time in Los Angeles, Freddie was a part-time radio shows for a Cantonese radio channel KMRB AM1430. The experience of hosting radio shows and acting as MC for public events sharpened his confidence for making speeches and presentations to a large audience.
In 2002, Freddie returned to Hong Kong to explore the potential of the booming Asian market then took on new ventures, handling large scale development projects in China, primarily in Shanghai and Shenzhen. The three years of experience in China equipped Freddie with the skills and techniques to manage clients, consultants, landlords and contractors.
After a few years exploring the China market, Freddie returned to the workplace interior sector as he prefers the fast paced work style. From 2005 to 2015, Freddie worked in FCS, Gensler and also set up his own practice with projects from international Fortune 500 companies to local corporate firms.
