Kuran kainth is an illustrator based in Wolverhampton. His work is inspired by many different things such as: tattoos, Japanese pop-culture, anime, animals etc. Currently, his work is more digital based, adopting bright colours with strong line-work and traditional patterns. His line-work is reminiscent of a traditional Japanese tattoo aesthetic or ukiyo-e woodblock prints- as he also adds a contemporary flair to create a unique style. He wishes his work to be visualisations of his creative influences and the way he sees the world, often including culture, myth and spiritual teachings as a means to achieve this.
Previously his work was exclusively created with pen and paper where his style focussed more on realism, these illustrations would predominantly be black and white. His digital work now shows a range formats including: interior design, book cover designs, graphic clothing designs and editorial projects.
Kuran kainth follows a range of artists including contemporary illustrators like: Iain MacArthur, marco Mazzoni, Garry Milne, famous tattoo artists like, jess yen, mutsuo, and finally, traditonal Japanese painter Utagawa Kuniyoshi.
