Originally from Portugal, where she first studied Jewellery at Escola ArtÃstica António Arroio followed by Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisboa, then went on to the Jewellery and Silversmithing HND and subsequently the Design for Industry (BA) at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham and graduated in 2021.
For as long as she can remember she has loved Art, having a special fondness for Painting and Sculpture, and also History, and from these she takes a lot of inspiration.
In her work she tries to combine her love for antique and sentimental jewellery with a contemporary approach, mixing different materials and mediums with precious metal to achieve this.
She also tries to combine new technologies such as CAD and 3D printing with traditional hand skills.
Her main aim is to create pieces of wearable art with a strong emotional or narrative meaning, to be worn as vessels/containers to collect, display, protect and frame.
