Hello, my name is Abdul Karim, and I am in my third year of studying architecture. Before beginning my architectural studies, I gained extensive experience managing a family restaurant with my father and brother for almost three decades. This valuable experience allowed me to refine my business skills and communication. Unfortunately, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, I made the difficult decision to close the restaurant. However, this unexpected turn of events ultimately pushed me to pursue my long-standing passion for architecture.
Although I initially had limited computer skills, I have made significant progress in developing my proficiency in this area. I am particularly interested in the concept of sustainability in architectural design. For my final project, I focused on the issue of plastic waste and designed a waste management centre with a focus on addressing this pressing environmental concern. I am eager to continue exploring innovative ways to integrate sustainability into architectural practice and contribute to the creation of more environmentally conscious structures.
