As a Punjabi girl who was raised in a traditional household, she has come to appreciate the significance of embracing one’s culture. Living in the western society has further reinforced this belief. As a result, she has created a project that reintroduces traditional motifs, such as paisleys, and elevates them with a touch of luxury. These motifs have been transformed into chunnis that can also be used as scarfs, providing a stylish way for individuals to celebrate their culture. She wanted to find a way people can wear stylish yet traditional pieces, whilst still appreciating the culture and having that sense of connection to it.
Her Final Major Project is inspired by family members, such as her Grandad and Mum, and the impactful influence they have had on her and others.
